Spring Break 2012

We had gorgeous weather in Wisconsin this March.  God must have known we were sticking close to home!  We started out the week by heading to 'the Spiderweb park' otherwise known as the park by Rockwell Elementary.  The kids just love playing there and we managed to spend the entire morning enjoying the sunshine.  At around 11 am the clouds broke open and we made a dash to the van to head home for lunch!  We hung out inside and rested then went back outside for a walk in the woods at the end of the street!  On Tuesday we played in our yard some of the day then went to the park and to Frosty Freeze for some treats.  After dinner we met Ron and Bobbi at the park with the kids and again enjoyed our beautiful weather.  Wednesday we went to the Madison Zoo.  The kids loved seeing the animals, especially Parker - he was so excited to see each new animal.  Daddy met us at the park for lunch and we ate and played (it was up to 80 degrees that day).  Thursday we got ready and headed up to the Wilderness for four days of waterpark fun!  The Heagney's met us up there for the day and the kids enjoyed playing with each other in the water and on the slides.  We ate pizza for supper and the kids hit their pillows hard that night.  Friday we enjoyed some family time at the parks with the kids then Casey met us at Moose Jaw for dinner.  We went to a waterpark that night and played some more.  On Saturday Randy's parents met us up there and Rose and I took the kids to a water park while Casey hung with Parker during his nap.  Daddy and Randy went golfing at Trappers Turn and met us back at the hotel for dinner (Zuppa Toscany and Spinach Lasagna).  Hit another waterpark that night, as well as, the boys favorite part of the trip Laser Tag.  Logan and Daddy also tried out the ropes course and we played in the dry park, blasting balls at each other!  Sunday we spent our last day at their favorite waterpark (with the wave pool) and then grabbed icecream before heading out!  It was a lot of fun!  We had a beautiful, spacious room and really enjoyed the long weekend with our family and friends!

Easter 2012 at Casey's

We had a great Easter celebration at Casey's.  We got to her house mid-afternoon on Saturday, went to the candy store where she gave them all some $ and let them pick out treats, then off to the park to play.  My parents met us there and we played some more.  Then back to Casey's to get the kids some supper.  The adults went out to dinner at the Milwaukee Ale House, which was so nice and then played some sheepshead.  Sunday the kids woke up and searched for their baskets.  Logan had a tough time finding his, but got it in the end in a white cabinet in Casey's basement.  We all headed to church to celebrate our risen Lord and then walked back to Casey's where the bunny had eggs hidden all over her yard!  The kids had a fantastic time finding them and eating the treats!  Then back inside to eat a WONDERFUL pork tenderloin with potatoes, fennel, carrots and onions, rainbow jellow and yummy roles.  Afterwards we enjoyed homemade cake balls. We were all pretty exhausted, but we managed to perk up to celebrate my birthday with delicious banana cake, homemade vanilla icecream and very thoughtful gifts! I had a wonderful Easter birthday and don't feel a day over 35!  Oh that's right, I'm not....yet!
